Saluting Seymour

Every week, Saluting Seymour and SoundScope highlight an airman serving at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.

Airman First Class Jacob Contreras with the 4th Security Forces Squadron

Contreras has been in the Air Force about one year, and he comes from a small town in Texas. He did a semester at college before joining the Air Force, but he wanted to do something more meaningful with his life.  Contreras is as Installation Entry Controller with the 4th Security Forces Squadron.  Contreras says he’s enjoying his time in Goldsboro, and the community support for the Air Force reminds him of home.  Contreras spends his free time fishing or playing guitar.  He particularly likes Texas County, also called “Red Dirt.”  Contreras says the opportunity to travel is a big benefit to an Air Force career.
