Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Stabbing

On Sunday, at approximately 11:20 AM, Wayne County 911 Center received a call about a stabbing which had just occurred at a home on the 900 block of Dollard Town Road in Goldsboro. EMS and deputies were dispatched. Upon arrival at the scene, the victim was found lying outside of the home in the driveway. Efforts were made to render life saving measures, but the victim died as a result of his injuries. The victim, 26-year-old Endeavor Justen McDonald of the Dollard Town Road residence, was pronounced dead at the scene. The detective division was notified and multiple detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation. Multiple individuals have been interviewed and a person of interest has been developed.

The investigation so far has indicated that several individuals — two females and two males — had traveled to the victim’s home on Sunday. The victim and one of the male subjects, both unarmed, became engaged in a physical altercation. During the altercation, the second male subject entered the altercation armed with a knife. The victim appears to have suffered a fatal stab wound. The body of McDonald will be sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh for the official cause of death. The investigation continues and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is actively looking the person of interest.
