National Honey Bee Day (PHOTO GALLERY)

The crowds started gathering early Saturday morning to learn more about pollinators during the National Honey Bee Day held at Old Waynesborough Park in Goldsboro. The event offered many opportunities for the public to learn about the importance of honey bees in our lives from beekeepers all around Wayne County. Music was provided by the band Empty Pocket, and students presented cultural dances. All sorts of beekeeping displays were on hand to show the daily operation of a beekeeper.  The National Honey Bee Day celebration is put together by Beekeepers of the Neuse.
