WCPS To Hold Second Public Info Session On Redistricting

On Tuesday, August 27, Wayne County Public Schools will hold its second public information session to update families and the community about its ongoing redistricting process. The session will be held at 6 PM in the Wayne Community College Moffat Auditorium.

“This session is intended to share two possible redistricting options that our Planning Committee has developed and for the public to review and give input,” states Dr. David Lewis, WCPS Assistant Superintendent. “At this stage of the process, it is important that get as much input as possible from stakeholders across Wayne County. In conjunction with the August 27 event, we will be launching a ThoughtExchange survey to allow all families and school district stakeholders the opportunity to view the two options online and to share their thoughts about each.”

The public can view the potential redistricting options and other resources pertaining to the district’s Fall 2020 Student Realignment Study on the district website, http://www.waynecountyschools.org/.
