Suspect Arrested For Drugs, Unauthorized Use Of Vehicle

Thursday, the REACT Team was working the south side of Goldsboro.  A deputy of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle that the registered owner had recently filed a report for unauthorized use. The owner had also secured a warrant for arrest for the person taking the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle 37-year-old Jessica Brooks West of Fremont, had a warrant for her arrest for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  When deputies removed West from the vehicle, she advised that she had a hypodermic needle in the vehicle.  West was allegedly found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.  West was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  She was transported to the Wayne County Jail and held under a $6,000 secured bond.
