Council Choses Two-Year Lease For Golf Course Equipment

The City of Goldsboro decides on its golf course maintenance equipment.

Monday evening, City Manager Tim Salmon gave the city council his recommendation for the mowing equipment that maintains the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course.

Salmon said for stability of the contract, he recommended going with the two-year lease to own option.

It had been a heated issue, with at least two council members questioning committing further funds to a golf course that loses money for the city.

Salmon says the city looked into leasing the equipment on a month-to-month basis.

In the end, the Goldsboro City Council voted 3-2 Monday and approved leasing the current equipment for two years.
