Three Charged For April Assault In Day Circle

Three people are charged in an assault at a Goldsboro housing unit, and more arrests are expected. The Goldsboro Police Department Gang Suppression Unit conducted an in-depth investigation into the large-scale assault that took place in a parking lot on the 100 block of Day Circle April 26th.  The victim was a 26-year-old Goldsboro resident.  Video surveillance helped police identify several suspects in the assault.  Warrants have been issued and 19-year old Satarus T. Burt, 23-year-old Dajoun J. Hargis, and 19-year-old Tajhmeek Sample have been arrested.  The three Goldsboro residents are charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Common Law Robbery, and Riot.

Officers with the Selective Enforcement Unit and Housing Unit assisted in the arrest of individuals. Additional arrests are expected in this case.

Some defendants in this case have previously been validated as gang members and received enhanced bonds in this case.
