Jimmie Lee, 81, of Goldsboro passed away Monday, October 07, 2019 at home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 09, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.

Mr. Lee was born in Wayne County on October 15, 1937 to the late Walter and Ethel Mae Daniels Lee. He was retired from Heilig-Meyers Furniture.

He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Brown Lee; one son, Jimmy Ray Lee and wife, Sherry Lynn of Goldsboro; one daughter, Jennifer Lee Bethea and husband, Doug of LaGrange; four brothers, Bill Lee of Goldsboro, Larry Lee of Dunn, Jerry Lee of Goldsboro and Mike Lee of Goldsboro; six sisters, Jane Patton of Goldsboro, Linda Gurley of Goldsboro, Rebecca Gray of LaGrange, Janice Taylor of LaGrange, Peggy Denning of Dudley and Betty Lee of Kinston; nine grandchildren, Starla Johnson and husband, Joshua, Austin Uzzell, Katie Bethea, Ryan Bethea, Chassidy Lee, Justin Lee, Matt Lee, Dylan Pollock and Jessica Pollock and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Jean Lee and Wanda Kay Lee Pollock and her husband, Ronnie; one brother, Walter Lee; two sisters, Judy Fields and Edna Hill and one grandson, Anthony Pollock.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
