SOUPer Saturday In Downtown Mount Olive

SOUPer Saturday, an event featuring soups, stews and chili will be held this Saturday, October 12 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Historic Train Depot (110 W. Main Street) in downtown Mount Olive. Tickets for the event cost $20 (ages 13 and above) which includes all you can eat soup/stew/chili plus salad, bread and dessert plus a pottery bowl (created by Dan Finch or Frank Grubbs). This family-friendly event is open to families. The child ticket rate (ages 6-12) is $12.00 and toddlers under age 5 are free to attend. Both include the all you can eat deal. Only those who purchase the $20 ticket will get a free pottery bowl to take home.

In additional to food at the train depot, there will also be activities in the parking lot. Activities include classic car show (sponsored by Wayne County Cruisers Car Club), entertainment, children’s activities, pottery sale (sponsored by Wayne County Arts Council) and a beer garden (R & R Brewing).

SOUPer Saturday is hosted by the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce, Wayne Country Arts Council, Wayne County Car Cruisers and the University of Mount Olive Theatre Department. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about arts in downtown Mount Olive.
