Tropical Storm Nestor Forms, Heads Toward N.C.

A tropical system is expected to bring heavy rains to Eastern Carolina this weekend. Tropical Storm Nestor officially formed in the Gulf of Mexico Friday.  Nestor currently has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, according to the 1 PM update from the National Weather Service.  The storm system is expected to head northeast and cross over Eastern North Carolina Sunday.  Nestor, or what remains of the storm, may bring heavy rains and gusty winds to Wayne County and the surrounding areas by Sunday morning.
