Shriners Fish Fry (PHOTO GALLERY)

Friday morning, people started to line up along Highway 55 East waiting to get their plates of fresh-cooked fish during the annual Shriners Fish Fry in Mount Olive. Volunteers started setting up the equipment Thursday afternoon, making sure the hot plates would be ready to serve by 11 a.m Friday. Official said they had a steady stream of traffic flowing through during the lunch hours. The Shriners were hoping to see a larger crowd people later in the afternoon as people were getting off from work and heading home for dinner.  The Shriners also set up up a fish fry spot in Herman Park in Goldsboro on Friday.
