Saluting Seymour

Every week, Saluting Seymour and SoundScope highlight an airman serving at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.

Airman 1st Class Damien Jay from the 4th Fighter Wing

Jay has been in the Air Force about one year, and he comes to Goldsboro from upstate New York. Jay says he was originally looking at joining the Army, but the Air Force offered him more career opportunities.  Jay works in Air Traffic Control with the RAPCON, and he says there’s a good future in that job field. Jay says he’s enjoying his time in Goldsboro.  Coincidentally, he even has family in Clinton, NC.  Jay says an Air Force career sets a person up for a successful future.
