Noose Found At Plant In Kinston

(NORTH CAROLINA NEWS NETWORK) — An Eastern North Carolina chemical plant is apologizing after an employee found a noose inside the building.

DuPont says it condemns the incident that happened at its Kinston plant, but an internal investigation was unable to determine who put the noose there.

Kinston-Lenoir County NAACP Chapter President Barbara Sutton tells WITN News the experience can be traumatizing.

A former employee found the noose in a newer section of the plant that isn’t used often.

He was preparing the area to be reopened when he found it hanging on an electrical box.

  1. Huh? says:

A former employee found it? Was the employee no longer working there when he/she found it or did they not report it until after they left the company? Why are they no longer working there? Were they let go or did they quit?

  2. Don’t take me serious says:

So that’s where Jessie Smollete is working now
