New Term Begins For Mt. Olive Commissioners, Mayor (PHOTOS)

The Old Train Depot in Mount Olive was filled with family and friends Monday night as the town’s new mayor and commissioners took their Oaths of Office.  State Senator Don Davis administered the Oaths to the Mayor Kenny Talton, and commissioners Barbara Kornegay, Harlie Carmichael, Dennis Draper, Vicky Darden, and the new Mayor Pro Tem Steve Wiggins. Following the installment of commissioners, Mayor Talton addressed the crowd with several promising remarks on making the town and community better.  Senator Davis also addressed the crowd, followed by the Charge to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners by Dr. Chris Turner, and Benediction by Dr. Dennis Atwood.
