Student Allegedly Made Threat Against Dillard Middle School

A 14-year-old is accused of making a threat toward a Wayne County school. On Wednesday, the 14-year-old male juvenile student at Dillard Middle School allegedly made the threat against the school on social media. Dillard Middle administration and the Goldsboro Police Department were notified on Thursday, and the investigation began.  The social media threats were substantiated on Thursday, and with the help and cooperation of the suspect’s parents, involuntary commitment orders were secured for the juvenile on Thursday.  The orders were served without incident by a School Resource officer and the Juvenile was taken to a medical facility.  The GPD says a juvenile petition will be filed on the male student at a later time pending the outcome of his medical evaluation.
