WCSO: Suspect Used Baseball Bat To Assault Victim

Bond is set at $100,000 for a Wayne County man accused of using a baseball bat during an assault. On Monday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 800 block of Mitchell Road in Dudley where a victim was found suffering from a laceration to his head.  The victim was treated for his injury at Wayne UNC Health Care.  The investigation determined the injury occurred during an altercation between the victim and 39-year-old Timothy S. Daniels of Dudley.  Daniels had allegedly broken into the victim’s home and used a baseball bat to assault the victim.  Daniels was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Break or Enter with Intent to Terrorize or Injure Occupant.  He was incarcerated at the Wayne County Jail.
