U.S. Cellular Teams With Boys & Girls Club For Art Contest

Local U.S. Cellular associates joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County Friday to kick off the fifth annual Black History Month Art Contest. U.S. Cellular associates worked with club members will create original 8.5 x 11 pieces of artwork in recognition of influential African-Americans, including historical figures, world leaders, athletes and celebrities.

Ten finalists will then be chosen by representatives from the Boys & Girls Club based on creativity, quality, interpretation, clarity of theme and overall impression. They will be displayed in U.S. Cellular stores in February, where the Wayne County community will be invited to vote for their favorites. The top three vote-getters will be announced in March and prizes include $250 for 1st Place, $150 for 2nd Place and $100 for 3rd Place.
