ACE Team Stop Leads To Drug Charges

A Goldsboro man faces MDMA and cocaine charges following a Wayne County traffic stop. On January 11th, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office ACE Team stopped a vehicle for speeding, and a K-9 unit reportedly gave a positive alert on the vehicle.  Illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found in the vehicle and in possession of 25-year-old Devaunte Levi Todd Hardnett.  Hardnett was charged with Felony Possession of MDMA, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and he was cited for Driving on a Suspended License and Speeding.  Hardnett was arrested, given a $4,000 unsecured bond, and was processed through the Wayne County Detention Center before being released.
