William Earl Mc Arthur

February 18, 62, Mount Olive

William Earl Mc Arthur, resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Tuesday morning, February 18, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He was 62 years of age.

Mr. Mc Arthur had been employed with Mt. Olive Pickle Company for 26 years, followed by an 11 year employment with Southeastern Industrial Equipment, both in maintenance. An excellent engine repairman, he had qualified as a silver level mechanic with Toyota of America. He had served in the N.C. National Guard.

The life of Mr. William Mc Arthur will be remembered on Saturday, February 22, at 4 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home. Brother Aaron Garrett will preside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home during the hour before the service.

Mr. Mc Arthur is survived by his wife, Jeannie Carroll McArthur, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Krystal Lynn Mc Arthur of Kenly; a grandson, Noah Maddox Mc Arthur of Kenly; a sister, Doris M. Heffner of Ayden; a brother and sister-in-law, Ray Douglas “Doug” and Marie Mc Arthur of Mount Olive; another sister-in-law, Kim Mc Arthur of Mount Olive; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry B. Mc Arthur; a brother-in-law, Donald Heffner; his mother, Elsie Mae King Mc Arthur Whitman; his father, Elbert Ray Mc Arthur; and step-father, James Whitman.
