Norma Grace Pope Benson

February 19, 87, Goldsboro

Norma Grace Pope Benson, 87, of Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Willow Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Goldsboro with her loving family by her side.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 21, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Kim McArthur, 211 West College Street in Mount Olive.  A private burial will be held in Warsaw.

Mrs. Benson was born in New Hanover County November 01, 1932 to the late Milton Claude Pope and Nellie Hope Pope.  She was a lover and faithful servant of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her son, Laney Andrew Benson Jr. and wife, Kim Benson of Charlotte; her three daughters, Sharon Schofill and husband, Larry Simmons of Dudley, Cheryl Dodson of Reidsville and Kim McArthur of Mount Olive; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Benson was preceded in death by her husband, Laney Andrew Benson; her son-in-law, Henry McArthur and all her brothers and sisters.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
