GPD: Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested In Wilson

The suspect in a weekend shooting in Goldsboro is apprehended.  The Goldsboro Police Department reported Wednesday morning that 33-year-old Leamon C. Holmes of Goldsboro was taken into custody by the U.S Marshals Service on Tuesday night the 1000 block of Gold Street in Wilson.  Holmes was wanted for Attempted 1st Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon for the early Sunday shooting at Studio 117 on the 900 block of McDaniel Drive in Goldsboro.  According to the Goldsboro P.D., Holmes shot 33-year-old Quinton Atkinson of Pikeville in the leg during an altercation.  Atkinson was treated for his injury at Wayne UNC Health Care and has since been released.  Holmes was placed into the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $510,000 secured bond.

    County needs a work farm he be sitting in jail e-mailing with a note book they let them use. Watching T.V. Make it where they don’t want to go to jail. It’s like the holiday inn. 3 meals a day and best health care county can afford.
