Simulation & Game Design Art Exhibit Opens Thursday

The community is invited to the official opening of “From Nerds to Never-Never Land: Art of SGD,” an exhibition of works by Wayne Community College Simulation and Game Development (SGD) Instructor Thomas Hopfer, County of Wayne TV Production Specialist Bria McCoy who is a graduate of WCC’s SGD program, and current WCC SGD students.

The exhibit opening will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, in the Administrative Suite on the first floor of the Dogwood Building on the college’s main campus at 3000 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro. A reception with refreshments will follow.

The artists will be on hand to explain their craft, which is demonstrated in prints and 3D pieces, as well as video.

The public is welcome to visit the gallery and view the art 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Mondays-Thursdays, and 9-11:30 a.m. on Fridays.
