Crime Stoppers Seeks Info On April 9 Hit & Run

Authorities continue to seek information on a Goldsboro hit-and-run that left one person seriously injured.

On the afternoon of April 9th, an unknown suspect driving a Capital ReadyMix Concrete Truck that had been reported stolen out of Johnston County left the roadway and crashed into a parked car on N. Georgia Ave near W. Holly Street.  The momentum pushed the first parked car into a second parked vehicle.  A person in between the two parked vehicles was seriously injured in the crash.  The victim was taken to Vidant Medical Center.

The stolen truck was white in color, had a partial decal on the tailgate, and a black ladder rack. The vehicle was located a short time later abandoned on the 1300 block of N. Carolina Street. A witness advised that there was an individual riding a moped in the area that could have seen the suspect who was driving the truck.

Anyone with information about this crime, or any other crime in the Wayne County area is asked to call or text Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255 or submit a tip at p3tips.com.
