Blood Drive to Address Emergency Shortage Being Held Wednesday

A blood drive is being held on Wednesday to help The American Red Cross address the emergency blood shortage it’s facing.

The blood drive is being held in the employee breakroom from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Goldsboro Public Works Maintenance Center, at 1601 Clingman Street,

To schedule your appointment call Kim Powell at (919) 580-4228 or visit redcrossblood.org and enter code Goldsboro.

The United States currently has fewer people donating blood than it has faced in two decades. Severe weather and respiratory illnesses have been the cause of more canceled donations across the nation. Donations are needed to help alleviate the shortage and ensure lifesaving medical procedures are not delayed.
