The Dancing Stars of Wayne County event is being held Thursday, January 17, 2019
Doors open at 6:30pm at the Paramount Theatre!

Due to all the damage caused by Hurricane Florence, we are rescheduling the 2018 Dancing Stars of Wayne County event. Because our community is focused on recovering from Hurricane Florence and the subsequent river flooding, the event has been rescheduled to Thursday, January 17, 2019.

This annual fundraiser raises funds for the Wayne Education Network, which is a public private partnership supporting education in Wayne County. These funds support WEN and its many activities including teacher scholarships, teacher stipends, mini grants, middle school career fair, teacher job fair, teacher welcome breakfast, the Golden Rule incentive program for teachers and many others. Our goal is to improve the quality of education our students receive and thus improve tomorrow’s work force.

Last year’s event raised $55,448 for the Wayne Education Network…and gained a lot of exposure for our stars, studios and the students – who also benefit from a stronger education environment!! Truly a beautiful partnership!!!

Wayne County is fortunate to have leaders who are willing to give back to the community in a manner that will keep on giving for years to come.
