Grantham Rescue Benefit

November 10, 2018 @ 11:00 am – 8:30 pm

This notice is to inform the residents of the greater Grantham community, surrounding communities and all of Wayne County of a benefit fundraiser for three retired members of the Grantham Rescue Squad.  They are Larry Hinson, Phyllis Mozingo and James Tadlock.  Each one is now facing serious health issues.  These three dedicated volunteers have a combined total of over 100 years helping the people of Wayne County.

It is now time for the community to give back to those who have given so much.  On November 10, 2018 a barbecue pork and barbecue chicken lunch and supper will be served at the Grantham Elementary School.  Plates – eat in or take out -will be available beginning at 11 AM and served all day.  An auction sale will follow in school gym beginning at 7 PM.  Raffle tickets for a riding Hustler Raptor 54 inch cut lawnmower are also being sold.  It will be given away at the auction sale.

Food plate tickets are $10 each.  Orders of fifteen plates or more can be delivered.  Lawnmower raffle tickets are $20 each.  For every five lawnmower tickets you purchase – you get a sixth ticket free!  Checks should be made payable to the Grantham Rescue Squad with it being designated for the benefit.  The rescue squad is a non-profit organization.  All monies spent or donated is tax deductible.

Donations of money are being accepted to cover the cost of the benefit.  Donations of $200 are suggested for hogs and $100 for a case of chicken.  Of course, any amount will be appreciated.  Auction items are greatly appreciated and needed.  Any individual, civic group or church is asked to help.

Information can be obtained from our Facebook page (Larry Hinson, Phyllis Mozingo, James Tadlock Benefit).  Most churches in the community have a designated contact person.
