MO Rotary Welcomes Wayne County Guardian Ad Litem

19 Dec @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Cynthia Coley is the Wayne County GAL (Guardian Ad Litern) supervisor. Cynthia will be our featured speaker at the Mt Olive Rotary December 19th weekly meeting, please join us for lunch and to learn more!

“The term ‘ad Litem’ is Latin for ‘this litigation’ or ‘for this case.’ Thus, a Guardian ad Litem helps to represent a child for only the duration of the court proceedings and does not serve as a legal guardian. As a volunteer, I feel more effective than at any other time in my life. I know that my work changes the world, one child at a time.I know in my heart that I have made a difference because I had a role in advocating for a new life for a child.” — Dorothy Allsbrook, GAL since 2011

“It takes a special kind of person to volunteer for the Guardian ad Litem program.” —Cynthia Coley, GAL Program Supervisor for Wayne County.

The Mount Olive Rotary is an active community organization meeting weekly for lunch at the Hwy 55 Headquarters in Mount Olive.  The meetings are Thursdays and guests are always welcome.  Please contact us on Facebook for more information (
