Wayne County Junior Livestock Show

April 24, 2019 – April 25, 2019 all-day
Wayne Regional Fairgrounds
(919) 731-1520

This year will be the 71st annual Wayne County Junior Livestock Show and Sale held at the Wayne Regional Fairgrounds. April 24th and 25th will have a full schedule of events for you to come watch and enjoy. We have 40 participants this year, showing cattle, goats and pigs. Our goat show starts at 6 pm on April 24th and is followed by the cattle show. The hog show begins bright and early at 10 am on April 25th.

Our city slicker contest this year, 6 pm on April 25th, will star a few of our own Wayne County “celebrities.” Kate Daniels, Chuck Allen, Craig Honeycutt and Geoff Hulse will be showing pigs this year! This is something you definitely don’t want to miss!

Stick around after the city slicker show to watch the youth receive awards for their hard work and sell their animals. The sale begins promptly at 7:30 pm. These kids have worked hard for months to clean, feed, and work their animals to make them show ready. We want to show them as much support as possible!

Call the Wayne County extension office at (919) 731-1520 if you have any questions or if you have a child who may be interested in showing next year.
