On Tuesday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team attempted to conduct a vehicle traffic stop for a NC General Statue Chapter 20 violation. The vehicle, operated by 37-year-old Andre D. Mccullen of Dudley, did not yield to law enforcement’s blue lights and sirens until the vehicle pursuit finally came to a stop at the suspect’s residence.  Mccullen was detained and a probable cause search of the vehicle was gained by a positive indication from a K-9.  ACE Team members reportedly discovered illegal narcotics, a concealed firearm and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  Mccullen, a verified felon, was arrested on charges including Trafficking in Heroin by Possession and Transportation.  He was given a $50,000 secured bond and was turned over to the Wayne County Detention Center for booking.
