On December 1st of 2019, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office took a report on a breaking and entering in the Mar-Mac area. The stolen property was recovered and 38-year-old Michael S. Butts of La Grange was identified as a suspect during the subsequent investigation. The sheriff’s office says Butts has now been charged with Breaking and Entering and Felony Larceny. Butts was already in the Wayne County Jail for similar charges. He received a $5,000 secured bond for the new counts.
