A child is hospitalized following vehicle collision in Kinston.  The Kinston Police Department says it responded to report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on the 2300 block of Rouse Road around 10:30 PM Monday.  The officers discovered a 7-year-old had been struck by a vehicle.  The child was taken to Vidant Medical Center in critical condition.  The KPD says the case is under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
