Two Hospitalized Following Sunday Afternoon Shooting

Two people are injured in a weekend shooting in Goldsboro.

Around 1:30 PM Sunday, officers with the Goldsboro Police Department received a call of shots fired near the 900 block of N. Carolina Street. The responding officers located several vehicles that had been struck by gunfire.

A short time later, officers were notified that 31-year-old Ramah B. Lennox of Goldsboro had arrived at Wayne UNC Health Care suffering from a gunshot wound.  Lennox was flown to Vidant Medical Center for further treatment and is in critical condition.

Another victim, 24-year-old Alquan J. Dunn of Goldsboro, arrived at Wayne UNC shortly after Lennox, also suffering from a gunshot wound. Dunn was treated for his injuries at Wayne UNC Health.

The investigation is still ongoing.
