The Neuse River near Goldsboro has reached Moderate Flood Stage.  According to the National Weather Service, the Neuse River was approaching 21-feet at 9 AM on Saturday.  The current forecast has the river cresting close to 25-feet — in Major Flood Stage — on Sunday.  The forecast also shows it will take at least several days before the river drops back below any flood stage.  A Flood Warning remains in effect for Wayne County.
