Friday afternoon, officers with the Goldsboro Police Department Gang Suppression Unit and Selective Enforcement Unit attempted to stop a vehicle for a fictitious license plate. The vehicle, occupied by two adult males and two juvenile males, traveled several blocks before finally pulling over behind a business on the 2200 block of East Ash Street.
The following charges resulted from the traffic stop and investigation:
- 18-year-old Corey D. Alston, Jr. of Goldsboro was arrested and charged with:
- (M) Fail to Stop for Blue Light
- (M) Fictitious License Plates
- (M) Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
- 19-year-old D’Eric J. Middleton of Goldsboro was arrested and charged with:
- (F) Possession of Stolen Firearm
- (M) Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- (M) Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
- A 16-year-old black male juvenile was charged with:
- (F) Possession of Stolen Firearm
- (M) Carrying Concealed Firearm
- (M) Possession of a Handgun by Minor
- A 15-year-old black male juvenile was charged with:
- (M) Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- (M) Possession of Firearm by Minor
Alston was placed under a $5,000 secure bond, and Middleton was placed under a $10,000 secure bond. The two juveniles were released to the custody of their parents. Three firearms were seized from the vehicle, with one having been reported stolen to Clayton P.D. and another reported stolen to Goldsboro P.D.
