Pauline Waters Parks, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

Pauline was born in Greene County on April 16, 1938 to the late Tobias and Margaret Johnson Waters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joe Parks. Pauline supported her husband in the family business, Parks Septic Tank Service.

Pauline will be remembered for her unconditional love as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She will also be remembered for her compassionate spirit and soul, and her gift of finding joy in doing things for others. Family was paramount to Pauline, and she loved nothing more than her husband, her children, and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Pauline’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Michael Sauls officiating. Interment will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Wayne Memorial Park.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Carlton Parks of LaGrange, and Chris Parks and wife Rene of LaGrange; grandchildren, April Pennington, Jennifer Shafer (Michael), Dale Parks (Erica), Alex Parks (Marissa) and Matthew Parks; great-grandchildren, Dalton Pearce, Haley Pennington, Michael Shafer, Ethan Shafer, Christian Pennington, Maddox Parks, Lincoln Parks, Ely Strickland, and Greyson Parks; and a great-great-grandchild, Danica Pennington. She is also survived by her brothers, John Waters of Goldsboro and Linwood Waters of Goldsboro.

In addition to her husband and parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Fields; a grandson, Danny Glenn Pearce, Jr.; brothers, Durwood “Pete” Waters and William Waters; and sister, Mary Gray.
