Thomas Daniels “Tommy” Harper, 53, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Wayne County on January 2, 1967 to Dorothy Ann Daniels Barbour.

Tommy worked proudly for Duke Energy as a senior lineman and loved his work family. He was an avid hunter, loved drag-racing, and was a member of the NRA. Tommy was first and foremost a family man. He took great pride in caring and providing for his wife and sons.

A service to celebrate Tommy’s life will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mooring Family Cemetery, 4339 U.S. Hwy 13 North, Goldsboro, with Rev. Glenn Smith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

In addition to his mother, Tommy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deana Mooring Harper; sons, Thomas Harper, Jr. (Ivy Weeks) and Timothy Harper; his four-legged son, Blue D. Harper; and his grand-pup, Mollie.
