An 18-wheeler crashed into a home near the Wayne-Duplin County Line Monday afternoon. The accident occurred off NC 111 South in the Pricetown community. The semi driver was apparently heading south on 111 when the vehicle crossed the centerline in a curve and ran off the roadway, drove through a pine tree grove, and then smashed into the home. Firefighters from Pricetown , EMS units and the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene. One occupant of the home had to be taken to the hospital with minor injuries. A dog was also found alive in the rubble. The accident is under investigation by the State Highway Patrol, and the truck driver will likely be charged with Operating Left of Center.
