Alice Hobbs Cox, 67, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Alice is survived by her loving husband, Stewart Cox; son, Jesse Cox; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Cox; and grandson, Sam Cox.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, a private service with immediate family is planned only. A gathering celebrating Alice’s life will be held later as conditions improve.

In lieu of flowers or similar gifts of love and kindness, the family suggests donations to Duke Cancer Institute, her church, St. Paul United Methodist Church, or a charity of one’s choice.

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the staff of Duke Cancer Center and 3HC Hospice for their care, and to family and friends for their thoughts and prayers.
