Mrs. Lee Brandon Pittard Cozart, age 86, resident of Mount Olive, departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2021 to receive an eternal presence with her Lord and Savior.

Born in Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late John Tracy Brandon and Myrtle Paylor Brandon and had been married to Latney W. Pittard, Jr. and Thomas Eugene Cozart, Sr.

Mrs. Cozart was a member of Mount Olive Presbyterian Church where she had been Clerk of Session, secretary, bookkeeper, and church elder.

Survivors include a son, Hart Pittard of Apex; two daughters, Lee Anne Hill and husband, Dexter, of Deep Run, and Lisa Niemond and husband, Doug, of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Hart B. Pittard Jr., David W. Hill, Melissa H. Boone and husband, Jared, Jamie Mitchell and husband, Tyler, and Doug Niemond II and wife, Lauren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Anne Wilkerson of Colfax; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica P. Simpson; two sisters; and a brother.

The life of Mrs. Lee Cozart will be remembered in a graveside service to be held Wednesday, January 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Person Memorial Park in Roxboro. Officiating will be the Rev. John Winings. The family will greet friends at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial gifts be made to Mount Olive Presbyterian Church, PO Box 158, Mount Olive, NC 28365.
