Frank John Boyd, 82, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Frank was the son of the late Harry Boyd and Marjorie Porter Boyd.
Frank spent just over 30 years serving his country in the United States Navy before his retirement in 1987. His love for his family and his country was evident in his everyday life.
A service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Pastor Andy Stovall presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private internment will be held for family at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. We respectfully ask all guests who attend the services to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.
Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years, Esther Boyd; Children, Forrest Kinsey, Jr., and wife Kimberly, Randy Kinsey, Darla Kinsey, and Frank Boyd and wife Michele; Grandchildren, Amber, Alex, Stephanie, Joseph, and Amelia; and three great-grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his brother, Harry Boyd, as well as several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his sisters, Elva Hauser and Sally Boyd.
