Ty’Lisha Maye scored 14 points and had eight steals to lead the Lady Saints past New Bern 33-30 on Friday evening. Jamaiya Bass scored five points and grabbed eight rebounds. Southern Wayne is now 2-2 overall, and 2-1 in Eastern Carolina 3A/4A Conference play. The Saints will next host J.H. Rose (0-4) on Tuesday.
