Mildred Christine Holland, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Somerset Court of Goldsboro.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Pittman Cemetery on Pinkney Church Road, Kenly, NC. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Holland was born in Avery County, NC on December 25, 1925 to the late Sherman and Beunia Coffey. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church and the last living aunt of the Holland family.
She is survived by three sons, Butch Holland and wife, Brenda of Princeton, Melvin Earl Holland and wife, Diane of Kenly and Ronnie Cecil Holland and wife, Darlene of Rosewood; one daughter, Wanda Jones and husband, Kenneth of Pikeville; two sisters, Loraine Corley and husband, Bill of Lenoir, NC and Carolyn Mogan and husband, Dave of Matthews, NC; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Holland; her siblings and two grandchildren.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Somerset Court and Community Home Care & Hospice for the care given over the past five years.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
