Francine “Fran” Basch-Russo, 67, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Ontario, Canada on April 3, 1953, she was the daughter of Esther Roth Basch of Prescott, Arizona and the late Joseph Basch.

Fran was a dedicated social worker for her entire life including work at American Human Services in Raleigh. She will be remembered for her positive outlook and tremendous generosity of spirit.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rabbi Harley Karz-Wagman officiating.

In addition to her mother, Esther, Fran is survived by her husband, Pasquale “Pat” Russo; sister, Rachel Basch-Turet of Prescott, Arizona; brothers, Mark Basch of Atlanta, Georgia and Paul Basch of San Diego, California; step-children, Anthony Russo, Pat Russo, Frank Russo, and Grace Russo; two grandchildren, Pasquale Angus Pope and Frankie Marie Michaels; special friends, Rachel Singer, Corey Nikoloric, Francine Reed, and Samantha Sierra; as well as a host of others who loved her deeply.
