Rebecca Holt Dean, resident of Mount Olive, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021, at her home.

A memorial gathering to remember her will be held Saturday, February 27, at 2 p.m. at her residence, 119 Tar Heel Drive, Mount Olive.

While her life’s work had included several facets, her most rewarding and longest tenure was that of being a teacher’s assistant at Daniels Middle Magnet School in Raleigh.

Ms. Rebecca Dean is survived by two sons and their wives, Stephen and Jennifer Tyndall of La Grange, and Jonathan and Brooke Tyndall of Guyton, Georgia; a sister, Veronica Holt of Salisbury; five grandchildren, Brenna, Bryce, Brayden, Noah, and Jacob Tyndall; an uncle, Sebron Sasser of Faison; and special cousins, Shelia C. Sasser, Lydia Sasser King, and Pamela L. Ellis.

She now joins in death her parents, Zbina Stanley Holt and Ruth Sasser Holt; and a brother, Stanley Z. Holt.
