Just before 2 PM on Sunday, Goldsboro Police responded to a shooting that occurred on the 1200 block of E. Mulberry Street. Officers responded to the scene and located the victim, Shameek Johnson, suffering from a gunshot wound. Johnson was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care and was later transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he is currently listed in serious condition. The Goldsboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit responded and investigated the incident.
