Linon Franklin Edwards, 72, of Princeton passed away at his home on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born in Bladen County on May 7, 1948 to the late James Vance Edwards and Myrtle Lee Hairr Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Earl, Joe and Raymond Edwards; and sisters, Becky Wheeler and Jenny Bland.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations, 105 E. 1st Street, Princeton, NC 27569.

The funeral will be held at 7:00 pm in Casey Funeral Home and Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. The committal will take place in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery, 8164 Flower Hill Road, Middlesex, NC 27557 on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:00 am.

He is survived by wife, Velma Corbett Edwards; sons, Roger Edwards (Julie) of Princeton and Stevie Edwards (Michelle) of Princeton; daughter, Pam McCall of Smithfield; grandchildren, Taylor Halstead (Cameron), Deanna Edwards, Madison Edwards, Preston Edwards; and Kelsey McCall; great grandson, Weston Halstead; brothers James Edwards of Pine Level, Forest Edwards of Princeton and Jerry Edwards of Smithfield; and sister, Deborah Stanley of Richlands.
