On Monday, the Triangle Chapter of Dillard-Goldsboro Alumni and Friends, Inc. presented a check worth $500 to the Goldsboro High School Band.

Dekevias Atkinson, President of the Triangle Chapter of Dillard-Goldsboro Alumni and Friends, noted many of the chapter’s members played in the Dillard or Goldsboro High bands and were eager to help out.

Alando Mitchell, the new director of the Goldsboro High Band, accepted the donation and says they’re still looking for more assistance, whether its financial or volunteering.

The Goldsboro High School Band is hoping for further donations as they look to make upgrades to their instruments.
