10,505 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in Wayne County since the pandemic began.  That’s according to the Friday figures released by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.  The latest numbers show there have been 234 coronavirus-related deaths in the county.

As of Friday, 22,244 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Wayne County, with 12,761 persons being fully vaccinated against the virus.

Statewide, there have 905,528 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.  12,028 of those cases have resulted in death.
