Mildred Maxine Timmons Blackman, 81, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Lolan Clyde Timmons and Eva Scott.

Mildred will be remembered for her love and compassion that she showed towards others. Some of Mildred’s favorite things to do were to cook and to decorate for holidays, going all out for Christmas. No matter the occasion, everyone always looked forward to sitting down and having a meal with her. Mildred will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

A service to celebrate Mildred life will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Pastor Christian Powell and Pastor Walter Sloan presiding. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place following the service at Patetown Cemetery.

Mildred is survived by her children, Kay Price, Robert Blackman and wife Melinda, Peggy Cozine, James Blackman and wife Teresa, and Mark Blackman and wife Tina; grandchildren, David, Matthew, Valerie, Joseph, Allen Ray (Brittany), John-Kurt (Allyson), Alexis, JD, Noah, Joshua, Luke, Nikki, Kelly, and Morgan; great-grandchildren, TJ, Shelly, Hannah, Lilly, and Linley James. Mildred is also survived by her siblings, Bill, Louis, LC, Rosie, Earnest, and David.

In addition to her parents, Mildred is preceded in death by a sister, Janie.
