Teens ages 12 and older can now receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine from providers in North Carolina. Earlier this week, the CDC recommended this change in age and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has now authorized providers to begin administering shots to 12-15 year olds.
The Wayne County Health Department will be hosting two weekend vaccine clinics to help parents and children receive their vaccine together. Appointments are suggested for the weekend clinics, but walk-ups will also be accepted at the locations below.
Weekend vaccine clinics will be:
- May 15, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Goldsboro High School, 901 Beech St in Goldsboro
- May 22, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spring Creek Middle School, 3579 NC-111 in Seven Springs
